It looks as if it has had a couple of coats of paint over the years. Great paw feet and other wood carving, some fraying on trim and scuffs but what would you
expect of chairs of this age. Origin of chairs are unknown to me but I have had them for several years. They are heavy and measure 33" at widest point, 29" deep from front to back, 34" tall at tallest point.
